It was always my desire to learn drawing people. For this reason I went yesterday to croquis course. It was a good experience because we had only 1-3 minutes to sketch a person. Here some of my first sketches:

Trip to the mountains

What a trip! Last weekend I went with some friends to Beggessen/ Jotunheimen, a famous place of excursions here in Norway. There you can camping, hiking and climping. It was strenuous but very amazing and the landscape was fascinating! We had a great time there. I took some pictures to have a little impression ->link

Reanimate

Summer is over and finally I have more time to reanimate my blog.

Last time some German friends visited me in Oslo. It was very nice and we have untertaken a lot. Also I bought me the new Nikon D700 camera and now I have a lot of fun taking pictures. In the next days I will upload some new Oslo-pictures and I will try to paint more. Stay tuned!.

FINALE!!!

What a game! We are in the FINALE of the EURO 2008 cup. Yesterday we won contra Turkey 3:2. Now we have to play against Spain on Sunday. May the best team win!

Midnightsun festival

Yesterday we celebrated with 60.000 peoples the midnightsun with a big festival forward the city hall. There were famous artists like Katie Melua, Fat Joe, Kaizers Orchestr, Morten Harket (AHA), Kurt Nilsen, Espen Lind, Madcon and other 30 artists. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the music!

Flix and Trix

Since some days the EURO 2008 begun.Watching some games I saw that Austria and Switzerland have 2 mascots for this event, named Flix & Trix. I find that they looks likable but they have also a resemblance with the comic figures Fix and Foxi. We will see if the guys becomes a popular figure. Also I've read an interesting article about the EURO-Logo and other stuff ->LINK

Musicfestival Oslo & EM

Last weekend we had a lot of activities here in Oslo, f.e. the Musikfestival and the beginning of the UEFA Euro 2008. Altogether there were 30 stages in the city where different music groups played all day. What an event and in the evening we watched the EM in the centrum on a big public viewing screen. Prof. Dr. Bernd Willim

Today I got the message that Prof. Dr. Bernd Willim is dead after a disease of long duration. He was our president, prof. and founder of the German Film School. Without his vision to found an Animation School I wouldn't be an Animator now. I thank him a lot for making my dreams true!

The Rhineland

Last Saturday (17. May) the Norwegian celebrated their National Constitution day. But I flew to Germany for celebrating the birthday of my Dad. My family and I spent time in the Rhineland because until now we didn't known it. The landscape was very nice and we had a recreative day. Click here to see more pictures from our trip.

Pentecost

My friend Pauli from Germany came to visit me this weekend. We had a great time, the weather was very warm (25° C) and we have undertaken a lot, f.e. Nordic Walking in the fjords of Oslo. This kind of sport was my first time and it was very funny but also a little exhausting :-)

Obituary

Yesterday I recieved the sad message that my friend Jürgen Peter (Pittar) Porzelt (* 25.1.1948 - † 30.4.2008) is dead. I've lost my best friend. He was a remarkable person, a great artist and a fantastic friend. During the last 14 years I could ask him everything, he had always a advice for me and I learned a lot of him. And HE was the man who teach me: 2d-animation, drawing and caricature. All my basis-knowledge about these themes I learned from him.
The first time I met him with 18 years when I was student apprentice in his Graphic & Design studio in Wolfenbüttel/Germany. From this moment our friendship begun. Everytime when I visited him we talked about everything like the work, artists, the world, religion, family, love, events of the day, our website and the life! In the future we also wanted open a company together and we had a lot of ideas. I couldn't believe it when he told me on last November that he has Cancer. But I hoped that he will get well soon. So I tried to visit him everytime when I was in Germany. I said to me: Hope springs eternal. Unfortunately the Hope is gone last week and also my best friend.

I will miss you Jürgen...

Ingrid Bjørnov show

Last night we visited the Ingrid Bjørnov show "Til Elise?". It was very funny and amusing. She is a famous Norwegian singer and artist. Her show was a mix of classic/modern music and comedian. I was very inspired how she played piano and she could entertain the viewers very well. We laughed a lot ...great show! You can view a short part of the show by clicking this LINK.

Springtime!

Yes! Springtime is coming! This weekend it was very warm, the sun was shining, people sitting in cafes and parks. So my friends and I went to Aker Brygge (habour of Oslo), enjoying the sun, eating ice, drinking beer and drawing people. Now I have a little sunburn... ;o)

Weekend! Finally I had some time to paint, but not too much... so the picture remains unfinished... but I will catch up next time :)

New national opera

Yesterday we were invited (skur49.no) to celebrate the opening of the new national opera in Oslo. It was a highlight with opera melody, fashion-show, rock-music concert and fireworks...fantastisk :o)
